If there a UNIVERSAL compass i.e. north, east, south, west?

in space all direction is relative. you can assume an "up/north" for the galaxy as well as a "spinward and anti-spinward" since it is a disc. But other then that, the only "universal" people would agree on is that "towards" a gravity source is "down"
